23/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to apply countervailing duties to compensate for subsidies, anti-dumping duties on imports of certain types of polyethylene (PET) from Asia. PET from India, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand are affected by a countervailing duty during four months. PET from India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan and Thailand will be hit by an anti-dumping duty during six months (see Official Journal L199, pages 6 and 48).
