Brussels, 11/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - At the opening of the meeting with the national parliaments of Member states and candidate countries on the Intergovernmental Conference (IGC), European Parliament President Nicole Fontaine placed emphasis on the need to succeed in the IGC, whch, according to Parliament in particular demands an extension of its power of co-decision.
