Meeting with Mbeki at Feira Summit demonstrates importance the EU attaches to South Africa, says Gama

Feira, 20/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - EU Council President Jaime Gama, questioned on the fringe of the Feira European Council about the presence of South African President Thabo Mbeki, said the meeting the EU Heads of State and Government had with Mr Mbeki had confirmed the importance the Fifteen, and in particular the Portuguese Presidency, attach to relations with this great country.
