ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) brewery

Belgian INTERBREW is to take on the brewing activities of the British group BASS for £2.2 billion cash. In doing so, INTERBREW will become the leading beer company in the United Kingdom, with a market share of 32%, just topping SCOTTISH & NEWCASTLE (29% of the market).
