ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) real estate

GE CAPITAL, subsidiary specialised in financial services of the group GE - GENERAL ELECTRIC, has joined forces with BT - BRITISH TELECOM to take over MEPC (£3.5 bn in non-residential real estate assets), Britain's fourth largest real estate company. To that end, the two partners have created LECONOPORT ESTATES, a joint company held equally that will, on the one hand take over MEPC's debts of £1.6 bn, and, on the other, make a £1.9 bn bid (or 550 pence a share)
