Commission defines objectives and procedure of White Paper on European governance

Brussels, 30/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - President Prodi presented on Tuesday to the College of Commissioners the guidelines and procedures that will lead to adoption in the summer of 2001 of the European Commission's White Paper on EU governance. In a debate by the Commissioners, some of the objectives and arrangements of the exercise were clarified and spelled out in further detail. EUROPE will report in detail tomorrow.
