Commission initiates consultation by all interested parties in order to prepare revision, in time, of reduction in sulphur content of fuels

Brussels, 26/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - In order to prepare the revision, in 2005, of quality norms for petrol and diesel fuel, established in the European Union by the Auto-oil legislation, the Commission has just begin consultation with all actors concerned. They will determine what the adequate level of sulphur content in fuels should be in order to fight air pollution by taking into account advances authorised by technological progress, and costs to be met by producers of fuels if the...
