Berlin, 26/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - At a meeting on Thursday in Berlin with the minister-presidents of the German Länder, Romano Prodi indicated that the Intergovernmental Conference currently in progress must reach clear and satisfactory solutions to ensure that the prerogatives of the Länder are preserved (this had already been made clear by Minister-President of Bavaria Edmund Stoiber during an earlier meeting with the European Commission president in Brussels).
