The Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain will be presenting in late October 2000 its "Golden Bridge Award" to a Belgian or Luxembourg firm judged most successful at exporting to the United Kingdom. The goal is to encourage exports to Great Britain but also to give Belgian and Luxembourg products and services a higher profile in the UK. The jury will take account of various criteria in selecting the winner, namely initiatives that show vision in new markets, perseverance and daring innovation to embark on new opportunities, as well as adaptation to British taste and standards and originality of approach (design, research, environmental protection, etc.).
