ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) defence

Italian FINMECCANICA is to begin exclusive negotiations with French AEROSPATIALE MATRA and German DASA, which are set to join forces with the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) (see EI of 30 December), for entry of its aerospace subsidiary ALENIA in this European alliance in which Spanish CASA also participates.
