Arrow Electronics acquisition of Tekelec Europe cleared

Brussels, 14/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has cleared the operation whereby the US company Arrow Electronics will acquire full ownership of the French company Tekelec Europe, the electronic components wholesale distributor. As in the case of takeover of Sonepar Electronique by Avnet, approved last December (see EUROPE of 9 December 1999), the European Commission felt that the wholesale market of electronic components remains predominantly national within Europe.
