ELMONDA, the assistance and travel insurance division of German ALLIANZ has acquired all of WORLD ACCESS (turnover EUR 122.5 million in 1999 with 600 employed), one of the main American actors in the sector. Thanks to this acquisition, ELMONDA will make a turnover of EUR 770 million, will have 4,600 collaborators and will cover 200 million people worldwide. The amount of the acquisition was not disclosed.
