According to the Financial Times, the German group THYSSEN KRUPP is ready to make a 9 bn euro bid for VODAFONE AIRTOUCH to take over the industrial activities of MANNESMANN. Recently renamed ATECS MANNESMANN, this division is specialised in automobile components and the engineering industry.
