Commission shares conclusions of "Forum" on a European way for the information society

Brussels, 24/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - As EUROPE announced briefly, the European Commission welcomed the latest annual report published by the Information Society Forum suggesting a European model to take up the challenges of the world information society. Commissioner Erkki Liikanen, who presented the major outlines to the press accompanied by Claudio Carrelli, the Forum's Chairman, said he shared the opinion of this advisory body.
