Welcoming the outcome of the Lisbon Summit, Unice calls on Member States to accelerate timetable and invites European institutions to dialogue

Brussels, 24/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - Stressing that it represents 16 million businesses in Europe, Unice (Union of Industrial and Employers' Confederation of Europe) has reacted positively to the conclusions of the Lisbon Summit. Unice President George Jacobs declared: that business circles were "happy with the new momentum in the EU to tackle the high unemployment rates through economic and structural reforms."
