The Finnish group KEMIRA has announced a conditional agreement in view of selling its subsidiary KEMIRA SAFETY (14.2 million euro turnover in 1999), which manufactures respiratory protection equipment (masks with filters) for military and industrial usage, to the American firm SCOTT TECHNOLOGIES (respiratory protection systems for firemen: sales in 1999 of 200 million euro) for 17.7 million euro.
