CBA - COMMONWEALTH BANK OF AUSTRALIA has made a friendly bid for the insurance firm COLONIAL, operation that should give rise to the largest Australian bank. COMMONWEALTH is proposing seven of its own shares for 20 COLONIAL shares. COLONIAL shareholders will control 26% of the future group.
