Court reduces by almost 140 million euro fines on cement cartel

Luxembourg, 15/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Court of First Instance (CFI) has reduced from 250 million euro to some 110 million the amount of the fine the European Commission slapped on 41 undertakings members of the cement cartel. The CFI noted the existence of a "single agreement" between all companies regarding the respect of the respective national markets.
