"Reasoned opinion" to Italy as Milan discharges its waste water into a river - Pursuit of procedures against Ireland and Portugal over wild birds

Brussels, 06/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to continue the infringement procedure initiated under Article 226 of the Treaty against Italy, Ireland and Portugal for persistent non-compliance of two specific aspects of Community legislation in the field of the environment. Here are the infringements committed and the stages of the procedures implemented or each case:
