01/07/2026 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission launched, on Wednesday 1 July, a public consultation inviting citizens, stakeholders and regional authorities to share their views on the Union's regional policy (or cohesion policy) in preparation for its 10th cohesion report. The report will in particular assess the mid-term revision of the 2021-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework, which led Member States to reallocate €34.6 billion in cohesion funds in support of the European Union’s strategic priorities, in particular competitiveness, affordable and sustainable housing, defence, security and civil preparedness, water resilience and the energy transition. All interested parties are invited to submit their contributions by 11 August on the ‘Have your say’ portal. Link to the portal: https://aeur.eu/f/moe (JV)
