17/06/2026 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission approved, on Wednesday 17 June, an aid scheme worth €1 billion to develop clean technology production capacity, under the ‘CISAF’ Framework incentivising investments in clean technology until the end of 2030 (see EUROPE 13667/26). Open to companies investing in such capacity, including in the components and critical raw materials needed for the production of clean technology, the Slovak scheme will take the form of grants and tax relief. The Commission concluded that this Slovak scheme is necessary, appropriate and proportionate to accelerate the transition towards a net-zero economy. (MB)
