Euro area inflation confirmed at 1.9% in February 2026

19/03/2026 (Agence Europe) – The annual inflation rate in the euro area stood at 1.9% in February 2026, compared with 1.7% in January, according to figures published by the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Wednesday 18 March. At EU level, it was 2.1% in February, compared with 2.0% the previous month and 2.7% a year earlier. The lowest annual rates were recorded in Denmark (0.5%), Cyprus (0.9%) and the Czech Republic (1.0%).
