EU extends sanctions for one year

02/12/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 1 December, the Council of the EU extended for one year the EU’s restrictive measures against persons and entities responsible for or complicit in activities or policies that threaten peace, security or stability in Mali. These European sanctions will therefore apply until 14 December 2026. Three individuals from Mali and a Russian have been added to the list of people targeted by these measures.
