Despite EU condemnation, Milorad Dodik rejects calling early elections in Republika Srpska

28/08/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 28 August, the deposed president of Republika Srpska, the Bosnian Serb entity, Milorad Dodik, rejected the announcement of early elections to fill his post, saying they would be “worthless”. “These elections are meaningless and will not take place in Republika Srpska”, the leader told a press conference, adding that he expected the population to take to the streets.
