27/08/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 27 August, the European Commission launched a call for proposals to support craftsmen across the EU. The aim of this initiative is to boost tourism by promoting unique traditional craft and food products. This assistance can take the form of: - direct financial support; - the creation of a meeting platform where craftsmen can share their knowledge and collaborate on best practices; - tourism promotion projects in regions known for their craft production, which could increase sales and visibility of local products. Eligible applicants are consortia of at least six entities from three different EU countries, including business support organisations, destination management organisations, and educational institutions.
