Tariff pause between EU and Washington could well be extended

12/06/2025 (Agence Europe) – The tariff pause announced in March by US President Donald Trump could probably be extended for certain countries, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Wednesday 11 June. For the EU, this would be good news at a time when negotiations have stalled. “It will be up to President Trump to decide, but I believe that if someone negotiates in good faith, an extension will be possible”, he said.
