12/06/25 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 12 June, the European Commission allocated €145.5 million to help SMEs and public administrations deploy cybersecurity solutions, through two calls for proposals. With a budget of €55 million from the Digital Europe programme, the first call for proposals will allocate €30 million to detecting and combating cyber threats (particularly ransomware) in the hospital and healthcare sector. Deadline for bids: 7 October. The second call, with a budget of around €90.5 million under the Horizon Europe programme, will support the use and development of generative AI for cybersecurity applications, privacy-enhancing technologies and post-quantum cryptography.
