The next milestones for the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) are taking shape, according to a European Commission document consulted by Agence Europe. The publication of the proposal for the post-2027 MFF on 16 July (see EUROPE 13641/8) will not be exhaustive, as details of certain policy programmes will be published on 23 July and 24 September.
As a first step, on 16 July, the Commission will include in the package for the post-2027 MFF details on: - national and regional partnerships; - the Competitiveness Fund, including a regulation on the Research Framework Programme; - External action and ‘Global Europe’; - the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) and the performance framework.
Then, on 23 July, will come the details on: - Erasmus 2.0 (a new version based on the merging of Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps); - Creative Europe, media, values and civil society; - the ‘Justice’ programme; - EU Civil Protection Mechanism 2.0; - the single market and cooperation between national administrations.
Finally, on 24 September: - ITER and Euratom research; - nuclear safety, decommissioning and cooperation; nuclear decommissioning (Lithuania) and the Overseas Countries and Territories (including Greenland). (Original version in French by Florent Servia)
