22/04/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday, 22 April, the European Commission launched the selection procedure for European coordinators of the trans-European transport network (TEN-T) for three European transport corridors. It concerns the coordinators for the Atlantic Corridor, the Rhine-Danube Corridor, and the Baltic Sea-Black Sea-Aegean Sea Corridor. The respective European coordinators are expected to be appointed by summer 2025. The coordinators act in the name and on behalf of the European Commission so as to, among other things, support the coordinated implementation of European transport corridors and horizontal priorities and chair consultative forums and working groups that bring all the relevant stakeholders together. They must also report any difficulties encountered to the Member States and neighbouring countries concerned as well as to the European Commission and the European Parliament.
