Spain to spend 2% of its GDP on defence this year, according to Pedro Sánchez

22/04/25 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 22 April, the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, announced that his country’s military spending will reach the threshold of 2% of GDP by 2025, a figure agreed in 2014 at NATO. “It is vital that we meet the investment targets demanded by our partners", explained Mr Sánchez as he presented a €10.47 billion investment plan.
