26/02/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 26 February, the spokesperson for the European External Action Service confirmed that the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, would not be meeting the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, during her visit to Washington on 26 and 27 February, “due to scheduling problems” on the American side. On Monday, Ms Kallas announced that she would be travelling to the United States to meet Mr Rubio, among others. In Washington, the High Representative will meet “US senators and congressmen to discuss Russia’s war on Ukraine and transatlantic relations”, as well as staff from the EU delegation in the United States. She will also be taking part in a public event at the Hudson Institute. (CG)
