Council of EU authorises opening of negotiations with view to Iceland’s participation in GOVSATCOM

25/02/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 24 February, the Council of the EU authorised the European Commission to open negotiations for an agreement with Iceland establishing the rules governing Iceland’s participation in the GOVSATCOM component of the EU Space Programme and in the EU Secure Connectivity Programme, as well as access to the respective government services of the EU, the Member States and Iceland.
