Greenpeace expects COP16 to aim to reform financial incentives that are harmful to biodiversity

25/02/2025 (Agence Europe) – “The discussions in Rome must demonstrate ambition, rapid progress and global cooperation”, said An Lambrechts, head of the Greenpeace delegation at COP16 on biodiversity, which is continuing in Rome from 25 to 27 February. To consider COP16 a success, the NGO is hoping for $20 billion a year from 2025 and $30 billion a year from 2030, from public sources, to implement the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
