17/02/25 (Agence Europe) – The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, and the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, announced at their meeting on the margins of the Munich Security Conference on Friday 14 February that an EU-China strategic dialogue would be held in Brussels later this year. The last one took place in October 2023 in China (see EUROPE 13271/3). The two sides also discussed preparations for the 50th anniversary of EU-China relations in 2025 and relations with Russia. Ms Kallas called on China to put an end to exports of dual-use goods that “fuel its war against Ukraine”. She also reaffirmed the need for all responsible global players to work towards a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, based on full respect for the United Nations Charter. (PLD)
