17/02/25 (Agence Europe) – The Jacques Delors Institutes in Paris, Berlin and Brussels are calling on European countries to mobilise around a defensive and dissuasive strategy in the face of the security threat, trade sanctions and attacks on European values since Donald Trump's re-election as President of the United States. “Europe has a choice between ‘survival or decline’ “, write the directors and presidents of the three institutes in a joint statement published on Monday 17 February. They believe that the EU must now respond to the attacks it is facing. “Trump must be stopped. [...] Together, we can mobilise a large part of the world that thinks like us, but does not have the means to act decisively”, stress the heads of the Jacques Delors Institutes.
