Council of Europe sets up division devoted to migration and refugees

On Monday 3 February, the Council of Europe announced the creation of a Division on Migration and Refugees within the Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law.

This division will take over the programme of activities described in the “Action Plan on Protecting Vulnerable Persons in the Context of Migration and Asylum in Europe 2021-2025”, hitherto carried out by the Secretary-General’s Special Representative on Migration and Refugees, a post created after the 2015...
