BEUC calls for “ambitious action plan” against defective and dangerous products offered by e-commerce platforms

According to a report by BEUC (European Consumer Organisation) dated Monday 3 February, several types of products sold on Temu, the Chinese online sales platform, present serious safety problems.

Tests carried out exposed “major” risks: detachable or faulty parts on baby articles, errors in cosmetic ingredient lists, electrical appliances without safety standards, etc.
