European Commission launches a call for evidence to collect input on its overall approach to ‘Savings and Investment Union’

On Monday 3 February, the European Commission launched a call for evidence to gather the views of stakeholders on the establishment of the Savings and Investment Union (SIU).

The aim is to identify the major challenges for the SIU by gathering opinions and experiences on the progress of the Capital Markets Union, launched by the Commission in 2014 but never fully completed(see EUROPE B13560A19).
