Céline Imart and François-Xavier Bellamy call for guarantees on EU/Mercosur agreement

24/10/24 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 24 October, the French MEPs from the EPP Group, Céline Imart and François-Xavier Bellamy, sent a letter to Commission President Ursula von der Leyen reiterating their opposition to the EU/Mercosur trade agreement. While the European Commission plans to conclude the negotiations at the G20 summit in November, the two MEPs are calling for mirror clauses to be included in the agreement, as well as safeguard measures for sensitive agricultural products...
