EU Court of Justice sets limits on use of all personal data collected for targeted advertising purposes

An online social network such as Facebook cannot use all the personal data it obtains for targeted advertising purposes without a time limit and without distinction as to its nature, ruled the Court of Justice of the European Union in a judgment handed down on Friday 4 October (Case C-446/21).
