Charles Michel claims certain permanent members of Security Council are not shouldering their responsibilities

26/09/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 26 September, the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, took the view that certain permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (France, the United Kingdom, the United States, China and Russia) were not living up to their responsibilities. “A permanent seat on this Security Council is not a privilege, it is a responsibility – a grave responsibility bestowed on only five nations: to be the guardians of world peace....
