Spain challenges proposed level of anchovy quotas in Iberian waters

19/09/24 (Agence Europe) – EU fisheries ministers will debate, on Monday 23 September, the level of total allowable catches (TACs) for anchovy in Iberian Atlantic waters from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025. The European Commission proposed a final TAC for this species of 9,449 tonnes, a 54% reduction on the TAC for the previous fishing year.
