On Thursday 19 September, the European Parliament adopted, by 565 votes to 8 with 43 abstentions, a resolution recognising the deteriorating situation of Afghan women and girls following the adoption of the Taliban law on the “Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice” (see EUROPE B13485A21).
This joint resolution was tabled by the EPP, S&D, ECR, Renew Europe, Greens/EFA and The Left groups.
