EU encourages Pakistani authorities to implement international conventions to facilitate new GSP+ application

On Friday 13 September, the European External Action Service (EEAS) announced the end of Ambassador Frans van Daele’s visit to Pakistan as EU Special Envoy on Freedom of Religion or Belief.

As part of his mandate to prevent violations of this freedom, Mr van Daele met government representatives, religious leaders, members of civil society and human rights defenders to discuss, in particular, the diversity of beliefs in Pakistan.
