European Commission proposes aid of €2.7 million from Globalisation Adjustment Fund for 365 redundant Belgian workers

16/09/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 16 September, the European Commission proposed aid of €2.7 million to support 365 workers made redundant in Belgium by the Match-Smatch chain, under the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) for redundant workers, according to a press release. “In June 2024, Belgium applied for EGF funding to help workers in the Walloon region made redundant by Match-Smatchto find new jobs.
