Euro area inflation at 2.6% in July

22/08/24 (Agence Europe) – The annual inflation rate in the euro area stood at 2.6% in July, compared with 2.5% in June, according to figures published by the statistical office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Tuesday 20 July. At EU level, it stood at 2.8% in July, compared with 2.6% in June. The lowest rates were observed in Finland (0.5%), Latvia (0.8%) and Denmark (1.0%), while the highest rates were recorded in Romania (5.8%), Belgium (5.4%) and Hungary (4.1%).
