European Commission approves Dutch aid for production of renewable hydrogen using an alkaline electrolyser

On Monday 29 July, the European Commission authorised under EU State aid rules a Dutch measure worth €80 million to support Djewels B.V., a subsidiary of hydrogen supplier HyCC B.V., in demonstrating an innovative technology for producing renewable hydrogen. The measure will contribute to developing renewable hydrogen production in line with the objectives of the EU Hydrogen Strategy and the European Green Deal.
