‘European Peace Facility’, new support for Armenia and Mauritania

On Monday 22 July, the Council of the European Union adopted two assistance measures under the ‘European Peace Facility’ (EPF): one worth €10 million for the Armenian armed forces and another worth €15 million for those of Mauritania.

The aim of EU support for Armenia is to strengthen the logistical capabilities of the Armenian armed forces and contribute to better protection of civilians in the event of crises and emergencies. It also aims to strengthen the country’s...
