‘Global Gateway’, EU reiterates its support for Chile in developing its renewable hydrogen sector

The European Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson, visited Santiago de Chile on 1 and 2 July to further cooperation between the EU and Chile in the energy field.

As part of a thematic discussion on just transition and green hydrogen at the ‘Global Gateway Investment Agenda - Team Europe Initiative RH2 Development Chile’ event, the Commissioner said that the EU was open and ready to engage in renewable hydrogen trading, and that Chile would be a leading partner.
