European Patent Office announces finalists for European Young Inventors Prize 2024

On Tuesday 4 June, the European Patent Office (EPO) announced the finalists for the Young Inventors Prize 2024 category of the European Inventor Award 2024. This prize rewards young inventors aged 30 or under who contribute to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal.

The finalists are: - Valentyn Frechka, a 23-year-old Ukrainian who has invented a method for converting dead leaves into recyclable materials; - Rochelle Niemeijer, a 29-year-old Dutchwoman who has developed a...
